On June 3, state grid comprehensive energy service group aksukaping phase I 4 MW / 8 MWh and Hetian Luopu 10 MW / 20 MWh energy storage power stations were successfully connected to the grid and put into operation. The project is located in Keping County, Aksu City, Xinjiang, and Luopu County, Hotan City, Xinjiang. It is the first energy storage project officially put into operation in the group, and also the first energy storage power station in the first batch of pilot projects of light storage joint operation in Xinjiang.
The lithium iron phosphate battery is selected as the energy storage element of the energy storage power station, which is constructed in accordance with the full set of prefabricated cabin mode. After completion, it will be operated jointly with 20 MW photovoltaic power station and 60 MW photovoltaic power station respectively, aiming to solve the problem of light abandonment of photovoltaic power station, smooth photovoltaic output, participate in regional grid peak regulation, frequency modulation and other power market auxiliary services.
The two projects started construction in late October 2019, Luopu project was electrified once on December 31, 2019, and Keping phase I project was electrified once on January 9, 2020.
During the epidemic prevention and control period, in order to connect the project to the grid and put it into operation as soon as possible and obtain the maximum benefit, the project Department of the owner overcame the objective factors such as the harsh environment and the severe epidemic prevention situation in the South Xinjiang area, arrived at the site as soon as possible and insisted on fighting in the front line of the project site. Among them, aksukaping project site experienced a 5.2-magnitude earthquake, Hotan site overcame many difficulties such as continuous strong sandstorm, and finally became the first officially grid connected energy storage power station in Xinjiang. They not only get the maximum benefit for the group, but also get the praise of Xinjiang regional government and industry partners.
The successful grid connected operation of the project indicates that the new energy department of the group has taken a solid step in the comprehensive energy service business field with "energy storage +" as the core, and has accumulated valuable experience for the "re start" of the group's subsequent energy storage projects.
